I'm starting to think about setting my backyard up as a moonlight garden.
I sat there the other night, watching the moon rise. Full moon on Halloween. breathtaking...
I took a few moments, and then a few more to see how the garden lights up, the full moon was very bright that night, like a flood light.
But to have the plants shine against the evening moon,
I work all day, and after thinking about it.
I would like to relax in my garden in the evenings.
So just wondering what type of trees, shrubs, or flowers have you noticed really come to life in the moon light.
I know the white varieties like tree barks, flowers do very well.
But i was looking for a mixture of colors so any personal experience would be great, if you noticed a plant that really stood out.. please share.
For me at the moment the palms i have, really seem to dance well in the moonlight. _________________ May the Golden Dragon Wrap her wings around you and keep you from harm:. Blessings ALD |

What a lovely idea ALD, I had to hunt for some pictures of a catus we use to have, we really hated to take it down, but we had to have a new driveway put in.
It is the night blooming cactus, so very beautiful. Just before the sun would set you could see the blooms begin to opening. We had so black bumble bees enjoy themselves.
The fragrance was very nice too! I believe there other types of night time cactus that bloom, I think there is a pink bloom too!

Hi Star.
Thanks for the info , I forgot about the different types of cactus
I will have to put that on my list, it sounds perfect to start flowering when you get home from work.
